Özet

Purpose: In this study, a literature review is presented by investigating studies in which civil and geomatics engineering applications are carried out using Large Language Models, an artificial intelligence model used in natural language processing, which has recently become very popular.

Approach: “Web of Science” and “Science Direct” databases are searched, and all studies about civil and geomatics engineering applications with Large Language Models are reviewed.

Findings: The number of studies in literature using Large Language Models in civil and geomatics engineering applications is relatively low.

Originality/value: This study, which investigated the use of Large Language Models in civil and geomatics engineering applications, observed that these artificial intelligence models have only recently begun to be used in engineering applications. For future studies, it is suggested that this artificial intelligence method can be used to provide various solution methods for a wide range of engineering problems.
