Özet

Background. Melatonin has been suggested to have antiproliferative effects on cancer cells. These effects can be attributed to immunomodulation, growth factor inhibition, induction of apoptosis and prooxidant properties. Melatonin is considered as a safe drug with minimal adverse effects.
