Abstract

Two novel (E, E)-dioximes, 5,6:13,14-dibenzo-9,10-benzo(15-crown-5)-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-dithia-7,12-dioxo-8,11-diazacyclotetradecane (H(2)L(2)), which contains crown ether group, and 5,6:9,10:13,14-tribenzo-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-dithia-7,12-dioxo-8,11-diazacyclotetradecane (H(2)L(1)), have been synthesized by the reaction of S',S'-bis(2-carbomethoxypheny)dithioglyoxime 1 with 4',5'-diaminobenzo(15-crown-5) or 1,2-diaminobenzene, respectively, Only mononuclear Ni(II) and Co(III) complexes with a metal/ligand ratio of 1,2 have been isolated, Cobalt (III) complexes bridged with BF2+ are obtained with hydrogen-bridged Co(III) complexes and borontrifluoride ethyl ether complex, The reaction of BF2+-capped mononuclear Co(III) complexes with bis(benzonitrile)palladium(II)chloride give heterotrinuclear complexes. The structures of the dioximes and their complexes are proposed according to elemental analyses, H-1- and C-13{H-1}-NMR, IR and mass spectra.
