Given the relationship between memory and space, with globalization, architecture is today used as a tool for remembering and forgetting. The dominant force of the time shapes the physical environment according to its own system of thought, manifesting itself in a multiple scale ranging from household to urban. This study shows how the power of memory over remembering and forgetting is manipulated through architecture. The resulting mechanism of destruction and reconstruction is analyzed through the Trabzon Tekel Building. People and communities are adversely affected by the intensive destruction and reconstruction around them.
