Abstract

The aims of study, we investigated of how to use produce accuracy of draft stand type map based on previous stand type maps and high resolution satellite image. The study area was Honaz Forest Enterprise in Denizli. Areal inventory in forest management plans produced combine inventory methods in Turkey. Forest management plan's stand type maps have been produced two stages. Firstly obtained remotely sensed data has been interpreted and secondly corrected of draft stand type maps with areal inventory/observation. Producing process of draft stand type map have been evaluated simultaneously thorough up-to-date high-resolution satellite images and previous forest management plan in geographic information systems. Between new stand type map and draft stand type map compared accuracy values in geographic information systems. As a result two stand type maps were similarity 58.4% stand type, 60.7% development stage and 68.4% crown closure.
