Abstract

Buildability and structural integrity are the inherent challenges of 3D printed geopolymer structures needed to be overcome. Reinforcing with steel cable ensuring a higher structural integrity of the printed structure can simultaneously improve the buildability due to the heating capability of this component. The controllable instant heating capability of steel cable was achieved by the use of a specific circuit system in the study. As a novel internal curing technique, electro-heating is recommended in the additive manufacturing of steel cable reinforced geopolymer structures by the authors.
