Abstract

This article examines the articles of the Trabzon-based local newspaper İstikbal in the
Muslim holy month of Ramadan and Ramadan Eid during the years of the Turkish Independence War
(1919-1923) and evaluates the impact of its publications on the people. Article argues that the
publications of newspaper during the Muslim holy month spritually strengthened and united the
people of Trabzon.
