The development in information technology and wearable technologies has had a significant impact on clinical decision support systems. In this process a lot of data needs to be transferred and processed. Therefore, it is necessary to compress the data with minimum loss. Compression techniques in electrocardiographic signals is a topic of growing importance. In this study, we analyzed the effect of wavelet based compression methods on classification performance. Thus a large database was used. ST-Petersburg Institute of Cardiological Database arrhythmia database in Physionet was preferred for analysis.
