Özet

There search studies about use of computer games in education have a positive increasing trend. In order to achievement of these studies, the role of teacher should be noticed. The aim of this study is to identify the preferences of teachers about the use of computer games in education. The sample consists of 40 teachers from different branches in Trabzon. A likert type survey and the interviews were conducted with 5 teachers from the sample is selected as data gathering tools. According to the findings; the main result about teachers thoughts is that; they agreed with the idea about benefits of educational games, but they have negative opinions about the use of them in the classrooms. As a result, some suggestions are offered about using the computer games in the classroom environments in the light of teacher perspectives.
