Özet:

This study analyses loans-credit relations between years of 1701?1714 in the lights of Trabzon Sharia Court Records numbered 1865, 1866, 1867, 1868, 1869, 1870, 1871, 1872, 1873 and 1874. The thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, the terms founded in the registers including the loans-credit trials were explained according to the Islamic Law. After each explaining, we give some examples translated to contemporary Turkish and related to loans-cedit relations. In the second chapter, after evaluating of the classification of loans-credit relations in respect of religious and social groups, the registers were analyzed geographically. In this chapter we also take over the role of the cash wagfs and business partnerships found by merchants of Trabzon in the loans-credit relations. At the end of this chapter we give some information about the matter of interest in the registers. In the last chapter, it is accentuated the case of the loan payments. We try to bring to light the loan payments by way of barter and auction sale, estate assets, the pledging of the property and in pais. 1n this way, it is determinated that it was the present of the money difficulty in Trabzon in researching term. According to the information gained in this study that military groups were directed the flow of money, Muslims were more activate than the non-Muslims in the relations of the credit loans and it was credit relations which came true from city center to rural area.
