The Natural Product Discovery and Development Research Group consists of faculty members, researchers, and undergraduate/graduate students affiliated with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Karadeniz Technical University. The primary mission of our group is to conduct scientific research focused on the discovery, isolation, characterization, and biological evaluation of bioactive compounds obtained from plants, bee (apitherapy) products, microorganisms, and other natural sources, as well as their transformation into innovative products with potential health applications.

Our research activities encompass the investigation of the pharmaceutical potential of natural resources, phytochemical profiling, quality control and standardization studies, evaluation of the biological activities of naturally derived compounds, and the development of products that may contribute to human health and well-being. In addition, we aim to bridge traditional knowledge with contemporary scientific approaches and contribute to evidence-based product development through multidisciplinary research.

We strongly value national and international collaborations and actively promote interdisciplinary research projects. We welcome opportunities to collaborate with academics, researchers, students, and industry partners who share an interest in natural product research and development.
