Assoc. Prof. PELİN ŞENEL

Pelin Şenel received her B.Sc. degree from Ankara University, Department of Mathematics on Applied Mathematics Branch in June 2010. In 2009-2010 Fall Semester, she attended Erasmus Student Exchange program and had been at Jagiellonian University (Krakow/Poland), Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. She graduated from Minor Program on Business Administration at Ankara University in February 2011.

She received her M.Sc. degree in June 2012 from Hacettepe University, Department of Mathematics. In October 2017, she received her Ph.D. degree at Middle East Technical University, Department of Mathematics. She worked as a Research Assistant at the Middle East Technical University, Department of Mathematics from February 2012 to January 2018 and as a Part-Time Instructor at TED University, Basic Sciences Unit from February 2018 to June 2018. She employed as an Assistant Professor at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Mathematics on Applied Mathematics Branch between June 2018 - January 2024. She received her Associate Professor title on Mathematics in January 2024. Between November 2024 - August 2025 , she conducted research in the United Kingdom at the University of Leeds, School of Mathematics, Department of Applied Mathematics by the financial support of TUBITAK 2219 International Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Program project for 9 months.

Her research interest is the mathematical modelling and numerical simulations of Fluid Mechanics problems. She studies on numerical simulations of fluid flow problems, boundary elements method, meshless methods, inverse problems, convergence and stability analysis of numerical methods.

She teaches various topics related to differential equations, numerical analysis and computer programming in undergraduate and graduate levels.
