Assoc. Prof. HALİL İBRAHİM GÜLER

Dr. Halil Ibrahim GULER works as an Assoc. Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon, Turkey. From 2008 to 2015 he worked as research assistant at Artvin Coruh University. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Science at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas, Turkey. He received a master degree in Molecular Biology from Karadeniz Technical University in 2011 and a Ph.D. degree in 2015. The area of his research interest is molecular biology and microbiology where he supervises his students on various topics like recombinant DNA technology and characterization of industrial enzymes as well as treatment of industrial wastewater for various pollutants such as lignin, pharmaceutically active compounds. He is also supervising his students in other topics such as purification and identification of novel bacteria and novel plasmid. He has taught the following courses to M.Sc, M.Phil, and Ph.D. students: Industrial Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Applications of Biotechnology, Advances in Microbiology, bacteria identification, plasmid characterization, bionformatics. He is a researcher and Principal Investigator in several national and international projects. He has published many papers in peer-reviewed journal.
