Dr. Rizi’s research interests lie in the field of advanced materials design, processing, and performance enhancement. His primary focus is on additive manufacturing, thermomechanical processing, and deformation mechanisms that drive the development of stronger, more durable, and lightweight materials. He has made significant contributions to understanding and engineering high entropy alloys, TWIP-TRIP steels, high entropy ceramics, and nanostructured materials with enhanced mechanical, thermal, and corrosion-resistant properties. His work emphasizes the relationships between microstructure and material performance, with a goal to tailor alloys for diverse industrial applications ranging from aerospace to energy. He also explores powder metallurgy, spark plasma sintering, and advanced surface engineering methods to create innovative solutions. By combining experimental work with industrial applications, his research aims to address critical challenges in modern materials science and engineering.
