Biyografi

Doç. Dr. Ömerhan Dürrani, 2013 yılında T.C. Cumhurbaşkanlığı YTB Türkiye Bursları Programı’nı kazanarak Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi’nde doktora eğitimine başlamış; 2020’de doktor unvanını almış ve tez bulgularını Q1 ve Q2 dergilerde yayımlamıştır. Ardından, TÜBİTAK 1001 projesi kapsamında Fırat Üniversitesi’nde bir yıl doktora sonrası araştırmacı olarak görev yapmıştır.
2021’den bu yana Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi’nde görev yapan Doç. Dr. Dürrani’nin çalışmaları, Karadeniz’de sürdürülebilir balıkçılığı desteklemek amacıyla pelajik balık stok yapıları ve sindirim süreçlerinin sayısal modellenmesine odaklanmaktadır. SCI indeksli 33 (10’u Q1, 9’u Q2) ve TR Dizin’de 8 yayını bulunan Doç. Dr. Dürrani, saha verilerini hesaplamalı yöntemlerle birleştirerek ekosistem dayanıklılığına katkı sunmaktadır.
AB Horizon 2020, Interreg NEXT Karadeniz Havzası Programı ve TÜBİTAK 1001 projelerinde araştırmacı olarak görev almış; Karadeniz’de palamut stok yapısını inceleyen TÜBİTAK 1002 projesini ise Temmuz 2025’te yürütücü olarak başarıyla tamamlamıştır.
Uluslararası bilgi paylaşımına katkı sunan Doç. Dr. Dürrani, FAO-GFCM FishForum2024, COST (Bilim ve Teknolojide Avrupa İşbirliği) Aksiyon ve TÜBİTAK-2237-A kapsamında düzenlenen atölyelerde eğitmenlik yapmakta; ayrıca Journal of Fish Biology (Birleşik Krallık merkezli Fisheries Society of the British Isles [FSBI] tarafından yayımlanan resmi bilimsel dergi) editör kurulunda yer almaktadır.
İyi derecede İngilizce bilen Doç. Dr. Dürrani, Haziran 2025’te doçent unvanını almış; evli ve üç çocuk babasıdır.
