Biography
Prof. Dr. Ali Hikmet DEĞER' in Biyografisi
Prof. Dr. Ali Hikmet DEĞER, 1980 yılında Trabzon' da doğdu. İlk ve orta öğrenimini Trabzon’ da tamamladıktan sonra 2003 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Matematik Bölümü’nden başarı ile mezun olmuştur. 2003 yılında lisansüstü eğitimine başlamış olup, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda yüksek lisans programını 2006 yılında ve Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda doktora programını 2011 yılında tamamlamıştır. 2004-2010 yılları arasında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Matematik Bölümünde Araştırma Görevlisi kadrosunda ve 2010-2012 yılları arasında da Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölümünde Araştırma Görevlisi kadrosunda çalışmıştır. 2012-2018 yılları arasında aynı Bölümde Yardımcı Doçent Doktor ve 2018-2021 yılları arasında da Doktor Öğretim Üyesi kadrolarında çalışmaya devam etmiştir. 25.09.2018 tarihinde kendisine Üniversitelerarası Kurul tarafından Doçent unvanı verilmiştir. Kasım 2021 tarihinden itibaren aynı bölümde Doçent Doktor kadrosunda çalışmış ve 2024 yılında da Prof. Dr. kadrosunda çalışmaya devam etmektedir.
Prof. Dr. Ali Hikmet DEĞER, 2013-2016 yılları arasında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölüm Başkan Yardımcılığı, 2013-2018 yılları arasında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölümü Matematiğin Temelleri ve Lojik Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı, 2015-2018 yılları arasında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Fakülte Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği, 2024 yılından itibaren Pedagojik Formasyon Koordinatörlüğü gibi birçok idari görevi ve 2024-2025 yılları arasında da Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Dekan Yardımcılığı görevini yürütmüştür.
Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi (KTÜ) Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölümü öğretim üyesi olan Prof. Dr. Ali Hikmet DEĞER, akademik kariyerine, matematik biliminin çeşitli alanlarında yaptığı araştırmalarla katkıda bulunmayı hedefleyerek başlamış ve bu yolda ilerlemektedir. Uzmanlık alanları arasında Analiz ve Fonksiyonlar Teorisi, Graf Teorisi, Özel Sayı Dizileri, Sürekli Kesirler Teorisi gibi teoriler yer almakta olup, bu alanlarda çok sayıda ulusal ve uluslararası makale ve bildiri yayımlamıştır. Prof. Dr. Ali Hikmet DEĞER, Matematik Bölümü'nde Analiz ve Fonksiyonlar Teorisi Anabilim Dalı’nda görev yapmaktadır. Eğitim faaliyetleri kapsamında, lisans ve lisansüstü düzeyde çeşitli dersler vererek genç matematikçilere rehberlik etmeyi amaçlamıştır. Bilimsel çalışmalarında hem teorik hem de uygulamalı matematik konularına odaklanmaktadır. TÜBİTAK destekli “Rasyonel Sayılı Köşelere Sahip Graflardaki Jeodezik Yollardan Üretilen Metriklerin Karşılaştırılması” başlıklı bir proje yürütücülüğünü üstlenerek, matematik bilimine katkı sağlayan önemli bir araştırmayı hayata geçirmiştir.
